The weather couldn’t have been more beautiful for the 2016 Parade of Homes here in the Raleigh area. The sunshine made it easy to log over 6,000 steps through 17 homes! Having never been, I made sure to take notes in what made a home a winner in my book.
The biggest impact?
Most real estate experts agree staging works. According to Realtor.org > “81 percent said staging helps buyers visualize the property as a future home” and “buyers most often offer a 1 to 5 percent increase on the value of a staged home”.
The Rule of THREE.
More specifically, I noticed that all of the staging details were executed in threes. In every. single. house. When I got home I researched to see if there was a method to this madness (organization) and found that Apartment Therapy explains it best > “when you see an odd number of things, your eye is forced to move around more, which makes for a more interesting visual experience.” Two is just a couple, but three makes it a collection.
Give it a try!
Have you ever used the Rule of Three in decorating? With the holidays coming up how might you apply this rule/guideline to a tablescape?
